The honour of being first to accomplish something innovative and new in the online gambling world comes with lots of attention and interest. Luckbox esports claims to be the first cryptocurrency esports betting platform to gain a full top-tier gambling licence from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.

Luckbox is owned by Real Time Games Holding Limited, which was granted the licence to operate which allows the site to take fiat, cryptocurrency and in-game prizes as legal tender. Obtaining the sought after Isle of Man gambling licence was a goal of the founders when Luckbox was created at the beginning of this year.

Lars Lien one of the founders and CEO of Luckbox told iGamingBusiness the licence acquisition has revealed opportunities in a number of key gaming markets. “We are very keen on markets such as Canada, the Nordics, CIS region and more, and confident we will be operating in the vast majority of relevant markets,”

The company has big plans for the future with CEO Lean commenting,  “We are working on our UK application, which we hope will be ready for launch,” Lien added, “Malta is on our radar and we will be considering a range of local licences, such as Spain. Others, like France, are currently off the table due to complexity, cost and/or market size.”

The team creating Luckbox have the massive amounts of combined experience required to make a successful global esports web location. Mr. Lien elaborated, “The complexity of building Luckbox is very significant given how big our plans for the product is,”  “I could get an esports betting site ready in four weeks with a designer and €100,000, but it would be yet another ‘me too’ product.” Adding, “We have a specific internal date we are quite confident with, but nothing I can communicate publicly at this point.”

Esport gambling fans are eager to use this unique offering.
