SWEET SMELLING POKER TRAINING
Deodorant company backs poker education venture
When do you bluff? Should you bet on the river? What are the essential questions to ask before going All-In?
US deodorant company Degree For Men and Phil Gordon, two-time winner on the World Poker Tour and host of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown, are going to help you find these answers in a new poker boot camp venture across big cities in the USA.
Degree All-In Poker Experience is a series of six free tutorials at ESPN Zones across the country during August and September.
"In life, and in poker, you need to take calculated risks to win big," says Gordon. "At the Degree All-In Poker Experience, poker fans will learn the skills they need to take calculated risks -- whether it's bluffing, betting or going All-In."
Gordon will share his poker strategies during the 45-minute tutorials, which will be followed by a series of stations that let guests test their skills: Risk Before the Flop, Risk Calculation, Risking it All, Risking a Bluff and Risk at the River.
Guests can then cash in their correct answers for a chance to win a seat at the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP). The grand prize winner at each event will also nab an exclusive chance to meet with Gordon in Las Vegas prior to the 2006 WSOP.
Poker fans can test their skills and enter for a chance to win a seat at Degree Deodorant.com.
The Degree All-In Poker Experience will be held at ESPN Zones across the country.
