IS EXPEKT LEAVING PRIMA POKER?
Rumours denied by Swedish company
Rumours circulating for the past two weeks that the Malta-based Expekt online sportsbook, casino and poker room operator is about to ditch Prima Poker software for the Tain product out of Sweden have been denied by the company. Tain currently powers Expekt’s casino and sportsbook, and provides poker software to several smaller egaming sites.
Expekt has rejected speculation circulating around the online gaming market that it is to leave the Prima Network and its Microgaming software.
A company spokesperson said that the poker software is constantly under review. “We are pleased with our co-operation with PrimaPoker and they remain our poker provider until the day we feel otherwise,” he added.
The Swedish operator is one of the largest members of the Prima Poker network, which experienced growth of over 300 percent in 2004. Prima has over 30 top poker rooms in its network including companies like Bet365 and the large casino groups Carmen Media and Fortune Lounge.
