The ninth annual European iGaming Congress and Expo is scheduled to start in a few weeks and the excitement surrounding the conference and exposition is building rapidly.
Copenhagen Denmark will host the event from the 19th until the 21st of October in the EiG 2010 will be taking place at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Bella Center is a wonderfully modern and airy congress facility just south of Copenhagen's centre. It is easy to access being just a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport and 11 minutes to the city centre using the Bella Center’s own metro station.

Billed as the world’s largest iGaming event, government regulatory developments are kept on a close watch with a great deal of interest being generated by the French, Italian and American jurisdictions. The industry sends it's top representatives in order to network and look for new offerings, new regulatory developments and partners.

Ewa Bakun, event director of this European iGaming Congress and Expo said, "with France recently issuing online gaming licenses and Italy working on expanding their regulatory frameworks, the industry is looking closely which countries will follow suit, what regulatory models will be put in place and how this localised regulation will affect the global gaming industry. USA is another hot market, with California and New Jersey taking a lead in proposing bills that will regulate intrastate internet gaming."

As many as 1500 delegates will attend the three day event with companies such as Bet365, Gioco Digitale and Betfair among them. Sponsors include software developers Playtech, Cryptologic, OpenBet, and Microgaming who will each provide a particular flavour to the event.

There are some very interesting and informative programs to take in at the Congress one special note being the technology, entrepreneurship and innovation outside industry keynote speaker, Julie Meyer whose talk will look at the factors that built her company from a great idea to a strong, scalable company, the successful exit, and what her predictions are for the future as an investor in new and innovative start-ups for the next generation.
