Online Sports Lottery Betting Surges in China

Let’s face it the Asian online gambling market is a very large nut to crack all things considered probably the biggest out there. The Chinese love to gamble, and the Chinese punter really seems to enjoy the game win or lose. There are a few joint ventures that are making it over the Great Wall into China such as Ladbrokes from the U.K. and AGTech Holdings Ltd.

Asia Gaming Technologies has just announced the introduction of a new product called Virtual Football. (AGT is China’s most prolific provider of sports lottery offerings in China. Chinese sales of lottery products hit $41.3 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2013. Specifically the sports lottery sales were up twenty two percent over last year as reported by the Ministry of Finance. The dramatic surge in lottery sales was attributed to online availability, more outlets and new lottery games.

The official sanctification for the joint venture has seen a rapid acceleration of the offering. It has now gone live in Jiangsu province in conjunction with the Jiangsu Sports Lottery Administration Center. While other companies also are making progress on the road to China some are doing a little better this joint venture is a leap forward in the right direction as China starts to relax.

Another firm that has been working on the gambling market in Asia is the USA Nevada located sports book operator Cantor Gaming. It has opened in northern Chinese city of Tianjin in a coordinated effort with the launch of the new 80 thousand square-foot Cantor Club.

The Beijing-based lottery venture investor Global Entertainment Investment & Management Co. Ltd. and the Tianjin Welfare Lottery Club joined forces to create the new facility. The club offers lottery games as well as the fascinating game of Mahjong. Cantor Gaming will provide the Club with its technology, systems and infrastructure.
