Inspired Gaming Group Launches First Virtual Sports Offering in China

China’s lottery regulator (Ministry of Finance of the PRC) approved the “Lucky Racing” game recently one of the first to be sanctioned by the Chinese officials. The “Lucky Racing” virtual sports offering game is the first to come into the Chinese jurisdiction. Inspired Gaming Group has created an interesting mix of fun and gaming as a joint venture between the U.K.’s Ladbrokes and AGTech Holdings Ltd. The “Lucky Racing” game will be delivered through the National Sports Lottery platform as a rapid-draw fixed-odds game. Wagers can be placed on a 12 car two lap race that takes place on an oval track with the result decided by a random number generator.

Managing Director, Steve Rogers, for virtual sports at Inspired, said, The launch of Lucky Racing is an extremely important milestone for Inspired in China and we’re excited to be exploring a new territory with Ladbrokes and AGTech. We will be looking to develop new content tailored specifically to the Chinese customer and remain committed to providing the most diverse range of sports at the highest quality in all of the 22 countries we currently serve.”

The breaking through the great wall in the Chinese market has the potential for huge returns as the market in Asia is arguably the biggest and least untapped on the planet. Analysts have made the argument that should a company manage to get into the Chinese jurisdiction legally that firm will benefit handsomely form their efforts. The game was launched in beta format in a small number of shops back in June, and now will be rolled out to another 1,000 betting  shops in the Hunan province.
The game is supported by an OpenBet developed bet management system and is safe and secure for the Asian market. Considering how difficult it is to get approval form the Chinese government this is a major achievement by the Inspired Gaming Group.
