Established in 1986, MDI Entertainment, LLC, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games listed on the NASDAQ and SGMS stock exchange. In 1996 MDI began marketing licensed games to lotteries. They now have an extensive array of licensed properties of interesting copyrighted and patented titles that they hold exclusive lottery distribution rights for. These include some of the best known and enjoyed icons of popular culture and enterprise.

Although there are many generic types of lottery experiences MDI lottery games deliver much more in a comprehensive way. The research conducted by Scientific Games has proven that the use of merchandizing in lottery games enhances customer satisfaction and provides a better experience over all. Factors such as loyalty and returning customers all add up to MDI games success. Licensed iconic games offered by MDI Entertainment generates a feeling among players that they are as important and are being attended compared to big time lotto jackpot players.

It was another feather in MDI’s cap today when it was announced that MDI be entering into a licensing agreement with Live Nation Worldwide, a subsidiary of Live Nation Entertainment.
President, Properties Group and Chief Creative Officer for Scientific Games, Steve Saferin commenting on the newest agreement signed by MDI said,  “This license provides lotteries a unique opportunity to attract music fans to instant games, including the younger demographics that lotteries often find hard to reach. The reputations of these brands, combined with the size and significance of the Live Nation audience, and prize options that include once-in-a-lifetime experiences, make this a really appealing addition to the MDI portfolio.” The Live Nation World wide audience includes the House of Blues and The Fillmore.
Live Nation Entertainment, also includes and Live Nation Concerts which produced 21,000 events in 2010. Every lottery in North America and lotteries on four other continents have been customers of MDI.
