So far and with a great deal of possible upsets during the next while the top dogs in the poker scene are Matthew Ashton a player from Liverpool, England, and best known for winning the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship at the 2013 World Series of Poker. After winning the World Series of Poker bracelet for the event, he became the leader in the 2013 World Series of Poker Player of the Year race.
