Alex Kahaner won the 2005 WPT Legends of Poker this week, earning $1,125,000.
A record 839 players put up $5,000 each to compete for the Legend of Poker title, fought out at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. The number of players surpassed last year's log by 172 and forced tournament organisers into splitting the field into two *day ones, * resulting in what was in effect a four day poker tournament in a three day timeframe.
