The world of online gambling still uses traditional methods to advertize the offerings around the world. Media savvy operators are constantly on the search for new sponsorship opportunities with benefits that surpass just getting the word out to prospective punters with the online gambling operators giving sports teams a much needed financial backing. It is a two way street with operators and sports organizations both getting what they need.

One of the premier Asian sports wagering operators 12Bet has signed deal that will see 12Bet logos on the jerseys of Barclays Premier League football club Wigan Athletic. The financially aspect of the arrangement is substantial in fact the best in Wigan Athletic’s history as club. The deal will continue for two years with an option for a third year.
Neil Ryan, Chief of Marketing at the organization commented, “to have secured such a substantial fee from a high profile brand like 12Bet demonstrates clearly where the club is going and we are looking forward to working with them to achieve our collective objectives.”
Rory Anderson Chief Executive Officer at the 12Bet firm was delighted by the arrangement and commented, “that will give us great exposure both in the UK and globally, providing the perfect platform to promote our core proposition: in play football betting.”

The deal is another example of the symbiotic relation the sports betting industry has with the teams and clubs that organize and compete on a level playing field where regulated and licensed operators can provide quality services to the punter.
12Bet was recently in the sports betting news when they refused to renew a deal that was similar with Spanish side Sevilla. This deal will place the 12Bet logo in a more strategic position and closer to where  they want to be noticed, on millions of televisions across Asia.
