INVESTMENT BROKERS ONLINE CASINO LAUNCHED
Alderney license for new offering
The intention of major U.S. investment broker firm Cantor Fitzgerald to
get involved in the online gaming business has been previously commented on by
Online-Casinos.com & InfoPowa, and this week we can report the launch of Cantor
Casino.
Cantor Fitzgerald had previously announced plans to offer white label casinos
based on the launch model to its European and UK clients, although the opportunity
will not be offered to U.S. customers and the target market will at least initially
be to users of sports and spread betting sites.
The casino is licensed in Alderney and uses software from Las Vegas-based Gaming
& Entertainment Group (GMEI).
"Cantor Fitzgerald already has access to a considerable and knowledgeable
client base so it makes sense to offer a new product that complements some of
our activities in both spread and fixed odds betting," Tom Kenny, chief operating
officer of Cantor Gaming, said.
Kenny says that the firm may move into operating online casinos for a range of
major consumer-facing companies, too but that its policy of not accepting US bets
would stand. "Historically, the Cantor Index group has successfully white
labelled a number of services including spread betting, and most recently a financial
fixed odds service through Ladbrokes," Kenny said.
"Cantor Gaming is in discussion with a number of companies who want to develop
relationships with their customer base by taking advantage of the current popularity
of online casinos."
