Aussie press says Joe Hachem to announce sponsorship deal this week

According to the newspaper the Herald Sun, Aussie poker ace Joe Hachem, who won $10 million as the WSOP champ earlier this year will soon announce a lucrative sponsorship deal with an internet poker site.

Mr Hachem's brother Tony said Joe would become an ambassador for Poker Stars and would be used in advertising for the online poker website.

He said the deal was Joe's first since winning the World Series of Poker in July and more commercial deals were being negotiated.

Joe and Tony Hachem are in New York for the announcement. A documentary on the World Series of Poker, featuring Mr Hachem, is being edited in Los Angeles.
