Cryptologic results for Q3 excellent
Continuing the confident note in the industry showcased by 888 Casino in its results earlier this week, Canadian turnkey online casino and poker software provider CryptoLogic Inc., reports that its third-quarter profit jumped 80 percent to $5.1 million as revenue rose 35 percent with a surge in the popularity of online poker.
Earnings for the quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 36 cents per share, diluted, and compared with 21 cents per share a year earlier, the Toronto-based firm revealed.
Revenue rose to US$21 million, up from US$15.6 million for the corresponding period last year.
"CryptoLogic remains a model of consistent performance, even in fast-changing times for the industry," CEO Lewis Rose said in a press release publicising the results. The latest quarterly casino revenue was up 12 per cent and poker fees grew 89 per cent over last year, Rose said.
