DR. HO AND HGN AT LOGGERHEADS
Litigation launched in Clark County, Nevada
The holders of the patent on live over the internet gambling, Home Gambling
Network have obtained a temporary restraining order on veteran operator Dr
Ho, his daughter Angela and CEO Peter Kjaer in the 8th Judicial
Court for the State of Nevada.
Not much detail is available on the action, which was brought by HGN's president
Mel Molnick, who has successfully enforced his patent against other parties
in the past.
The restraining order stipulates that Ho and Kjaer, together with Profit Networks
trading as Ho Gaming Solutions, HOGAMIING Solutions, HoGamingSolutions.com
and DrHo888.com and all those acting in concert with them shall be immediately
enjoined and temporarily restrained from:
(a) selling-off Defendants live gaming software until further Order of the Court;
(b) using, operating and/or accessing any intellectual property and/or software
arising out of, related to or connected with Plaintiffs Method of
Participating in a Live Casino Game from a Remote Location;
(c) marketing, advertising, using or otherwise displaying Plaintiff HGNs
official license seal until further Order of the Court; and
(d) altering, erasing, deleting or destroying any data, information or materials
in their possession, custody and control regarding transactions previously processed
by said Defendants and/or monies received by said unlawful, unauthorized and unlicensed
conduct.
The order will lead to an evidentiary hearing to be held on the morning of November
16.
