Coy Managment At Gambling Online Magazine

COY MANAGEMENT AT GAMBLING ONLINE MAGAZINE

When all's said and done it's just a online gambling magazine...

The new management at Gambling Online Magazine (see previous Online-Casinos.com & InfoPowa reports) seems to be rather coy about revealing their identities.

Despite some determined probing, a company spokesperson this week steadfastly declined to reveal who was managing Players Publishing, a company which is reported to have paid around $400 000 for the magazine, taking it over from Future Publishing - Highbury House in August this year, according to sources.

The founder and driving force behind the magazine, Eric Morris apparently exited the publication early in October, although editor Michael Caselli remains in place according to the company.

Morris, who probably has his hands full with the runaway success of fast-growing Bluff Media was non-committal when approached, saying: "I am no longer involved in any aspect of Gambling Online Magazine and that was by choice."

Gambling Online Magazine is about to announce this year's Reader's Choice Awards, a popular poll where players can vote for their favourite venues in a variety of categories. Sales staff has been actively soliciting advertising recently using the awards issue as an attraction.

Contrary to previous years, the company spokesperson was unable to provide Online-Casinos.com & InfoPowa with the number of voters, saying that it was "thousands upon thousands!"

Intrigued by the reticence on the management team, we asked a few questions around what is after all a tight-knit industry and the results were surprising. Two ex-Microgaming staffers, Julian Perry and Gary Roudette are apparently at the helm.

The company spokesperson did not comment on this revelation.
