CORAL EUROBET TO CHANGE TO ONGAME POKER SOFTWARE

Major group to ring the changes in the wake of Party Gaming manouevres

Unconfirmed reports circulating over the weekend suggest that the online poker interests of the substantial Coral-Eurobet group will depart the Party Gaming platform and "skin" status in favour of a change to Ongame's poker software and thriving network, creating an interesting competitive dynamic.

Party Gaming recently distanced itself from its skins and introduced exclusive facilities for it's players, and then followed up last week with purchases of two skins and negotiations with a third - Empire Online. As one of the top four skins, Coral Eurobet is thought to have decided to make a clean break.

Party Gaming spokesmen have emphasised that they will give Coral every assistance in its departure, and in migrating its customers to a new poker platform in the next few weeks.

Betting shop chain Coral Eurobet is very well positioned in a business sense, having recently been acquired by U.K. bingo and casino group Gala Group Ltd. for GBP 2.18 billion. The company says it has been reviewing its longer-term poker business strategy and as a result has decided to leave the WPC platform.
