NEW RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING CODE
RGA announces code of practice designed to limit underage gambling
The Remote Gambling Association (RGA) has published a new social responsibility
code of practice designed to address the key issues with underage gambling.
The code will provide a range of measures to enable operators to keep to a minimum
the number of children that might access a gambling service.
Nick Rust, RGAs Chairman, said: Our adoption of these codes underlines
our commitment to protecting our customers and preventing children from gambling.
It was not clear from the press release whether the codes were enforceable on
RGA members.
Gamcare spokesman, Andrew Poole, said: It is imperative that RGA members
embrace these codes and in so doing send a clear message to other remote operators
of their shared commitment to good practice and policy.
