Don't expect too much from First Cagayan Online Casino
When First Cagayan, a wannabe regulator in the Phillipines first launched
there was much talk of the advantages for online casino operators and players alike,
but judging by recent events there is not too much emphasis on the player side.
Many Japanese players have been burned by the sudden and unannounced closedown
of CoCoCasino.com, a Japanese language online gambling venue licensed by
First Cagayan, yet the licensing jurisdiction appears to be sitting on its hands.
Players complain that they are owed hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars
by the casino, which initially went into slow-pay mode, promising to pay in time
but then clammed up altogether some 6 weeks back. Then the site closed "temporarily"
but with no explanation or notification to players. This further alarmed those
who still had money tied up in the casino, as well as those who were being stalled
on legitimate payouts.
The casino domain is registered to Eastern Solutions, Ltd., 4th Floor,
Harbour Centre, P.O. Box 613, George Town, GC BWI KY
Phone: 212-528-0395, but does not respond.
Savvy gamblers tried to get First Cagayan involved, using email addresses on the
website. No response.
This week InfoPowa tried on several occasions to do the same thing. Again no bouncebacks
- but no response either.
First Cagayan has in our opinion an obligation to assist players at one of its
licensees to obtain satisfaction when this sort of thing happens. That goes with
getting the licensing fee from outfits like CoCoCasino. Sadly, it does not appear
that First Cagayan has any intention of doing that.
