20 MILLION READERS FOR POKER PRO'S COLUMN
Poker magazine and news service combine to spread the word
The popular "Pro's Corner" column prepared for Poker Pro Magazine
by leading professional players will soon be reaching an audience of some 20 million
U.S. readers following a deal with Copley News Service.
Poker Pro has agreed to syndicate its "Pro's Corner" column which features
top professionals answering poker questions mailed in by readers and players of
the game.
Publisher Dan Jacobs told Poker News this week that the column is
a perfect fit for Copley readers interested in poker content.
"The fan mail we've received from readers as a result of our 'Poker Pro's
Corner' column is intense," he said. "There is a huge demand in cardrooms
and on newsstands all over the U.S. and Canada."
The column will now become a part of the CNS media empire, which provides a series
of daily news, weekly, and special features packages to over 1,500 clients that
range from major daily newspapers to community weeklies, newsletters, and Web
sites across the U.S. and around the world, reaching some 20 million reader in
the United States alone.
Syndication should help Poker Pro to further expand its international customer
base. The magazine already publishes 150,000 copies per issue and has recently
switched to a monthly format for its distribution.
