SPORTXCTION NOW AT BETDIRECT
Agreement to extending play-by-play to mobile phone game users
Global Interactive Gaming successfully launched its SportXction
facilities on Sportech subsidiary Littlewoods Betdirect this week,
the primary aim being to bring play-by-play betting to mobile phone game users.
SportXction will offer play-by-play wagering on over 1,500 events in the coming
year including games such as soccer, tennis, golf, cricket, rugby and snooker. A key feature
of the software is that it can offer odds on specific short term wagers that lend
themselves to instant technology such as mobile phones, enabling gamblers to wager
while viewing a live or televised sporting event. For instance, the outcome of
a penalty kick could be bet.
