CHANGES AT THE TOP IN SPORTECH
David Matthewson out, Piers Pottinger in
Effective February 1 this year, Sportech has appointed Piers Pottinger
as its non-executive chairman. He replaces David Mathewson who has resigned
his position as non-executive chairman with effect from 31 January 2006.
Pottinger has been the company’s non-executive deputy chairman since November
last year, and is highly experienced with the media, gaming and horseracing
industries.
Finance director Gary Speakman also moves up the Sportech totem pole
with his appointment to Chief Operating Officer, a new post. He will retain
his financial portfolio until a replacement has been appointed.
