PHIL IVEY NAMED POKER PLAYER OF THE YEAR BY BLUFF MAGAZINE

$3.4 million in 2005 poker tourney earnings alone

The poker publication Bluff Magazine has named Phil Ivey the 2005 Bluff Magazine Poker Player of the Year. The accolade is based on the accumulation of points in the popular Bluff/ESPN Power Ranking for poker players.

"Phil has emerged as one of the best players of this generation. His focused play and success at the table have earned him Bluff's Player of the Year," said Eddy Kleid, co-President of the publication, which has a circulation in excess of 250 000 copies in the USA and Europe.

Phil Ivey is considered by pros and fans alike as one of the best professional poker players in the world. His unparalleled success at the tables in 2005 has earned him both wealth and respect.

His accomplishments include: Over $3.4 million in tournament earnings; 7 final tables; a World Series of Poker bracelet in $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha; a top 25 finish in the WSOP Main Event and back to back wins worth $1.6 million at the 2005 Prima Poker Monte Carlo Millions and the Full Tilt Poker Invitational.

Despite these significant achievements, Phil Ivey still considers himself a regular and accessible guy who can be seen at the Bellagio in Las Vegas playing in some of the biggest cash games in the world.

"I'm honored to win the Player of the Year award and to be recognized by such a great media outlet as Bluff Magazine," said Phil Ivey.
