A rather fulsome press release from Casino Fortune, a member of the Sunny group of casinos started doing the rounds this week but had editors scratching their heads.
Referring to something noone seems able to find called the Online Gaming Hall of Fame, the release said that Casino Fortune is "excited" to announce its induction, claiming that this is the first of an annual announcement by the Online Gaming Hall of Fame to honor trendsetters, ground breakers and visionaries in the online gaming industry.
Casino Fortune's President Dennis Rose is quoted as saying: "We are thrilled that the Online Gaming Hall of Fame has recognized us in this way."
Much of the rest is marketingspeak, ending rather breathlessly with: "This is one of the most thrilling days of my life. To be rewarded with this honor is incredibly thrilling and makes our huge efforts so worthwhile"
Casino Fortune's PR people have been known to come up with some pretty creative material in the past.
