Online casino and poker revenues up for popular gaming group 32 Red


Online casino and poker group 32 Red has followed its success with the Casinomeister Best Casino for 2005 award with a set of positive financial results, showing impressive growth in a trading update for the year ending 31 December 2005.

CEO Ed Ware revealed that total gaming revenues were up 67 percent on 2004 to GBP 9.77million (US$17.19 million). Casino revenues were up by 57 percent, but poker rake was the star with an increase of 339 percent on the previous year. Total active player numbers rose by 102 percent to 17,587.

Listed on the London AIM market last September, 32 Red also reported stronger second-half results for 2005, with total gaming revenues for the period up by 32 percent on the first six months.

"Our core online casino business saw us hit new heights across all key indicators in 2005 and our poker product continues to grow strongly" said Ware. "With new software initiatives and increased marketing activity in the coming months we expect to deliver further growth across the business in 2006."
