NEW ONLINE CASINOS & SPORTSBOOK LICENSEES FOR OPENBET
The Tote and Centrebet take up the Orbis integrated platform
The boast made by Openbet officials at January's ICE show in London was that the industry would be frequently hearing about their one-wallet online casino and sportsbook product in coming months, and that has proved to be the case.
This week a company announcement revealed that significant sportsbook sites in the UK and Australia have signed agreements for the Openbet system. Openbet is owned by Orbis, which is a subsidiary of the UK public company NDS group.
The first sign-up was with British bookmaker Totesport with its OpenBet interactive gambling platform for the re-launch of its Totesport website. OpenBet is to provide a complete gambling solution that enables customers to bet on all channels and all products from a single account, all controlled through a single back-office. Customers can place bets on a variety of products - a sportsbook, on-demand, scheduled and virtual games, P2P exchanges, lotteries or pari-mutuel pools - over almost any channel, including the web, mobile devices, retail outlets, call centers and interactive digital television, all from a single log-in.
Under the agreement, Orbis will deploy a new sports betting site, call center application and fixed odds games, using its single account back- office solution.
Australian bookmaker Centrebet has chosen the Openbet product as well, and it will be deployed on Centrebe's new sportsbook system and associated website. The new site will replace Centrebe's existing sports betting systems that were developed in-house.
