BET AND WIN MAKES CHANGES AT THE TOP AFTER ONGAME ACQUISITION
CEO Selin replaced in executive shuffle at poker giant
It has not taken long for the Austrian public company Bet and Win to start making executive team changes at recently acquired online poker and casino provider Ongame.
The Swedish firm, which includes the massive Poker Room network saw major changes last week with the departure of its former high profile CEO Patrik Selin, who was reportedly followed by several members of the old execuitive team at the Stockholm headquarters.
Bet and Win - the new owners - have appointed their own people to key positions, starting with the top slot. Carl Klingberg, who had earlier been appointed as General Manager by Bwt And Win CEO Norbert Teufelberger takes over Ongame. He is believed to have had a successful career in software, and was at one time the m.d. of Scandinavian Online AB.
Klingberg has said he has ambitions to make the merge of the two companies a platform for building a major, industry-leading group, and that his priorities will include defining a branding and network 'skin' strategy that benefits both B&W and Ongame, whilst at the same time delivering top player satisfaction and the best possible business solution to licensees and members of the network.
Ongame has a solid reputation, a highly successful product, eCOGRA membership and ample financial reserves. Allied to the considerable financial clout, product diversity and European influence of Bet and Win and the huge cross-marketing possibilities inherent in the joined groups, the future is looking positive.
