Top skill gaming site - King.com - has a new european marketing head
Owen O'Donnel, the financial whiz who left Betfair last year to head up the major international skill gaming site King.com has recruited a new marketing boss this week with the appointment of Matthias Schmidt-Pfitzner as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing (Europe)
Schmidt-Pfitzner has held senior positions in the online industry for more than 10 years and will join King.com’s senior management team to drive growth for European sales and marketing during the next phase of King.com’s rapid expansion, says CEO Owen O'Donnel.
Formerly the Director of Business Development and Distribution at Yahoo!, the new addition to King.com's top team also has experience as VP of Sales and Business Development for AltaVista Europe as well as for QXL ricardo plc and AOL Europe.
Commenting on the new appointment, Toby Rowland, Director and Co-Founder of King.com said: 'I am delighted that Matthias is joining us in this crucial role. His unique experience and expertise will help us to accelerate our growth in Europe. His previous experience at driving Sales and Business Development for major portals and ISPs is very valuable for us and will further strengthen our relationships with partners and open up additional revenue streams.”
