A BITE OF APPLE FROM PACIFIC POKER

Mac users no longer need expensive software to play on PCs

The new Apple poker room at Pacific Poker will allow Mac users to play online poker for free without the aid of specialised software that can cost as much as cost $250, says a spokesman for Mac-pacificpoker.com.

Pacific Poker's latest Apple-friendly online poker software will run in the browser for quick play modes, and the company plans to give new Apple poker players incentives of up to $100 upon opening a new real money account to get them to try the new gear out.

Along with the new software launch Pacific Poker has upgraded their tournament listings to add the World Series of Poker Satellites, which will run hourly. The satellites will give Apple poker players a chance to fly to Las Vegas and play for the big WSOP event which Joseph Hachem won last year with a first place prize of $7.5 million.

The new poker facilities include a poker forum and the same poker school that Windows users have find so useful. Players can talk strategies or learn how to play Texas Hold 'em in both the school and the forum.
