MANSION ONLINE GAMBLING GROUP GETS ITS SHIRT AT LAST
Tottenham sponsorship deal signed.
After several months of negotiations followed by disappointment at losing its
generous sponsorship offer to Manchester United, the Mansion online
gambling group finally clinched a major football deal this week.
Premiership football club Tottenham Hotspurs have agreed a four-year
deal worth GBP 34 million for onling gambling group Mansion to be the club's
shirt sponsor.
The agreement comes into effect on July 1, and is understood to be among the
top 10 largest shirt sponsorship agreements in the world.
The White Hart Lane club have also changed their shirt manufacturer for next
season, with Puma taking over from Kappa.
Mansion were in line to sponsor Manchester United - for a reported GBP 70 million
over several years - but Manchester killed the deal unexpectedly last month.
Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy said: "Tottenham has made progress both
on and off the pitch in recent years which has put the club in a good position."
Mansion's Chief Operating Officer David Kinsmann said: "We have
been looking to secure a major Premier League deal for some time. Tottenham
has a long and successful history, great traditions and a wonderful brand."
The North London team just missed out on a money-spinning place in the
Champions League this season.
But their fifth-placed finish in the Premiership means they will play UEFA
Cup football next term.
