AND THEN THERE WERE NINE - THE ROAD TO WORLD SERIES OF POKER FAME
Main event dates now available to find the best of the best for that multi-million dollar Final Table
Biggest prizes, most contestants, highest televised coverage are all elements in the annual World Series of Poker tourneys in the United States, and the 2006 event looks likely to smash previous records in providing wealth and respect to the top winning players....and plenty of entertainment and excitement for literally millions who will view the action around the world.
The stage will soon be set to winnow the thousands of hopefuls entering this grand poker tourney down to just nine Final Table players competing for the final honour and huge rewards. On the way, scores of players will receive significant cash prizes for winning at various levels.
By way of a heads up for InfoPowa readers, this is what the Main Event line-up looks like:
WSOP MAIN EVENT
Fri July 28 $10,000 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 1 A)
Sat July 29 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 1 B)
Sun July 30 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 1 C)
Mon July 31 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 1 D)
Note that on each of these day 1 events the field will play down to 800 players, leaving about 3 200 active players in the competition to compete in Day 2.
Tues Aug 1 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 2 A)
Wed Aug 2 No Limit Hold Em Main Event (day 2 B)
Again, each day 2 event will start with around 1 600 players, and play down to 700
Thur Aug 3 Day Off for Main Event
On Day 3, all players will merge into one field of about 1 400 players, playing in one huge room until the winner emerges.
Fri Aug 4 Main Event (day 3 – play to 600 remaining players)
Sat Aug 5 Main Event (day 4 – play to 300 remaining players)
Sun Aug 6 Main Event (day 5 – play to 150 remaining players)
