British minister visits Gibraltar jurisdiction
The British were studying Gibraltar's moves in licensing and regulating online gambling this week.
UK Sport & Gambling Minister Richard Caborn flew in to Gibraltar at the invitation of the Gibraltar Government, having expressed an interest in seeing how the self governing British dependency operates in its role as a global jurisdiction for on-line gambling.
The short visit gave the Gibraltar government and several major industry business groups licensed by the geographically small Mediterranean nation the opportunity to exchange views on the UK initiative to regulate online gambling and introduce sensible regulations and a practical tax regime.
