Once notorious, now hopefully respectable
The reappearance of Blackdog Casino.com, which had its share of player disputes and was at one time reputed to involve a well known online gaming industry "personality" called Rafael Alexander aka Eskandrian piqued the curiosity of several online observers this week.
Having communicated with the new owners, Online-Casinos.com and InfoPowa can report that Eskandrian is no longer involved with the company, which closed back in 2004. Instead, the Blackdog brand has been resurrected by a group of 10 online gambling affiliates led by Piero Gasbarrini and reopened its virtual doors with a new look and new games on May 5 this year.
Gasbarrani told us: "We are actually 10 affiliates from different places that meet each other in a conference and after being ripped off in several times we put money together and rebuild one dead casino to clean its name and manage our own clients in a trust environment. I'm part of the board and the responsible of everything getting together.
"We are using Bet Soft Gaming software (Diamond Games new owners) and we are trying to improve the gaming community not as much in a games way but in a safe and moderate place."
Gasbarrini says they intend to conduct their business in an honest and professional manner to turn the Blackdog brand around.
