PHANTOM CLAIMS 40 PERCENT OF MOBILE GAMBLING SITES NOW USE ITS TECHNOLOGY
Phantom Fiber - $2 billion this year, and $19.3 billion by 2009.
Toronto-based wireless solutions firm Phantom Fiber is a name that is increasingly being linked to mobile gambling ventures as operators eager to extend branded online games to the wireless world of game-players lock on to this sector.
In fact, Phantom claims that it numbers over 40 percent of mobile gambling sites among its client list, including Golden Palace.com, Ultimate Bet.com and Betcris.com, all of which have established partnerships with the company in order to offer secure mobile gaming in real time, integrated into the infrastructure of each participating online gaming site.
In a release this week Phantom quotes a study by Juniper Research showing that mobile gambling revenue has reached close to $2 billion this (2006) year, and is projected to reach $19.3 billion by 2009.
Phantom Fiber recently entered into a partnership with Game Theory Ltd., a subsidiary of Excapsa, the Canadian developer, marketer and licenser of online gaming software applications. This five-year relationship means gaming-network access to more than a thousand different types and models of cell phones and PDAs, along with the integration of an eWallet payment system. Excapsa licensee UltimateBet.com will use the new software to provide its customers access to the Excapsa gaming network.
