WILL THE POLITICIANS LISTEN?

More overwhelming support for online gambling to be regulated

CNBC conducted a poll last week that reinforces the overwhelming support among American gamblers for regulated, rather than prohibited online gambling. Various recent polls, notably the Wall Street Journal vote earlier this year, have hinted to legislators in the USA that Americans have little if any appetite for prohibition.

The CNBC website poll asked: "Should all online gambling be legalised in the United States?"

There were 2,532 votes and a pretty conclusive opinion:

Yes: 91 percent

No: 9 percent

Perhaps the initiative proposed by Rep. Jon Porter to carry out a bi-partisan Congressional investigation into online gambling before trying to ban it will pay attention to what American voters are saying....so far it appears to have fallen on deaf ears in the Goodlatte, Kyl and Leach political camps!
