Betting exchange to sponsor air racing
Betting exchange company Betfair is take to the air in its marketing efforts, Brand Republic reported this week. The company has signed up to sponsor the first event in a series of exciting aircraft races titled The Aero GP.
Aero GP pits multiple aircraft against each other at the same time, undertaking a combination of racing, air-to-air combat and target bombing. Points are awarded across the three disciplines, providing pilots with a true test of precision flying ability.
The report adds that Betfair has recently set up an office in Malta to run its online poker and games products. A spokesman said that the thrills and dynamic nature of airborne racing makes it a good fit with gambling.
