DEUTSCHE TELEKOM TAKES FUNTECH CASUAL ONLINE GAMES
Two part deal between subsidiaries Skilljam and T-online
Skilljam, a skill gaming subsidiary of Canadian public company Fun Technologies has partnered with German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom to provide internet channel T-online with a casual gaming platform.
The two-part deal will see Skilljam develop and operate the platform for T-online, the internet branch of Deutsche Telekom, and advertise in conjunction with another subsidiary of the German firm, InteractiveMedia.
The games platform will accept Euros and will be available in the German language. Michael Cassius, managing director EMEA at FunTech commented: “This is a very important deal for two reasons. First, Germany is among the top two markets in the world for online gambling and skill gaming. Secondly, Deutsche Telekom’s T-Com, with brands such as T-Mobile, is the biggest pan-European internet service provider. It is a significant player in the German market.”
Under the terms of the two-year partnership, Skilljam will be promoted on the T-Online.de website.
Cassius said: “We are going to be highly integrated and target audiences; this will provide us with great access to what is possibly the biggest market in the world.”
