"World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions" has exciting new features

The recently launched (see previous Online-Casinos.com / InfoPowa reports) latest version of Xbox's "World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions" is getting solidly positive reviews from video gaming fans who seem to appreciate the new features added to an already popular game.

In the new edition, the game takes a story-based approach that virtually positions players in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit, striving to qualify for the Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas.

Players are positioned as newly turned pros who are protégés of Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. In the game, this well known and high profile player becomes a virtual educator, teaching players his tips, tricks, and strategies and sharpening their skills as they go up against more than 20 top poker pros including Joseph Hachem, Jennifer Tilly, Scotty Nguyen, Scott Fischman, Men "The Master" Nguyen, Clonie Gowen, T.J. Cloutier, Eric Seidel, Antonio Esfandiari as they try to earn a seat in the WSOP Tournament of Champions.

Along with Ferguson's advice, players can access extra poker aids and tools during the game with each win, which makes it possible for them to unlock useful poker assists like odds-checking on various hands, hand rankings or opponent's historical statistics.

Players can also now "personalise" their game by uploading their own image recorded on the X-Box 360's handy-cam, mapping their likeness onto their in-game character. The multiplayer version of the game has also been expanded; players can host multi-table tournaments and see their opponents via the camera in order to try read any "tells", and important factor in face to face poker play. And it is even possible to set up a side game of "Blind Man's Bluff" to test individual 'psychic' skills.
