ADVANCED MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY DEAL FOR ONLINE CASINO PROVIDER PLAYTECH

Casino software company licenses patented high quality technology

Top quality, advanced multimedia technology has been acquired by online casino turnkey provider Playtech in a licensing deal with 1st Technology LLC this week.

The license agreement covers the use of 1st Technology's core multimedia patents applied to advanced online gaming products. Developed by multimedia pioneer Dr. Scott Lewis the patents embrace enhanced interactivity and optimised delivery of high quality multimedia information over networks of various bandwidths including narrowband and broadband telephone, cable, and wireless Internet.

Dr. Lewis, who led the development of the world's first single integrated circuit chip with onboard video and audio compression, and advanced adaptive digital signal processing technology at Oxford University said: "We are delighted that industry leader Playtech is now a licensee. Our new relationship will allow us to develop superior gaming products to the market using 1st Technology's internationally recognised patent portfolio."
