PLAYTECH ASSESSES THE DAMAGE

Turnkey provider estimates US politics will set it back a year in financial terms

Online gaming software firm Playtech says the US ban has set its finances back one year, but that on the positive side it is swiftly rolling out software for the Asian games market.

Avigur Zmora, chief executive of Playtech, told media reporters: "Already, 50 percent of our licensees' player base is non-US and that number is growing all the time. More importantly, we have a huge range of products attending to non-US markets."
