BETSSON U.S. EXPOSURE SMALL

Swedish gambling group clarifies its position

The Swedish betting group Betsson, recently reorganised from the Cherry Fortragen group, has issued a statement clarifying its position on the American legislative attempts to curb US financial transactions to online gambling companies.

The statement reveals that Betsson's operations are carried out within two independent business areas; Net Entertainment which sells system and software solutions for online gaming and Betsson Online which provides online gaming to Internet gamblers.

Net Entertainment receives less than 8 percent of its income from the U.S., while Betsson Online receives a mere 3 percent of its income from the U.S. Betsson Online's two major brands - Betsson.com and CasinoEuro.com - have, for sometime now, not accepted customers from the U.S.

If the above bill is passed, it will not have any considerable effects on the company's income. The Board previously decided that all shares within the business area Net Entertainment will be distributed to Betsson's shareholders.
