Online Poker Professional Launches Social Gaming Site

There was a comedian on the radio the other day talking about online poker. He said it was a funny thing that you have to pay to play the very best poker players online where you are almost certain to lose. His answer to his disbelief was wouldn’t everyone really want to be playing against the worst poker players in the world. Well one of the greatest pros Phil Ivey thinks that everyone should learn how to play better poker so the champion professional poker players are beaten at least once in awhile. This points out the fact that poker is a skill based game and not altogether luck.

Ivey has decided to launch a social poker room web location. All time great poker master Ivey, while speaking to ESPN said his goal is to “teach the world how to play better poker.” “People aren’t learning how to play,” added Ivey, “You see people just going on there and playing, but not really learning how to play the right way. What we’re doing here is teaching people how to become a winning poker player. I think a lot of people really don’t know how to play poker, and I think this is going to be an opportunity to play with the best players in the world.” Phil Ivey’s site will be complete with video instruction and free to play games supporting an interactive format.

The pro has enlisted other professionals to round out the styles available to the average player. Jennifer Harman, Patrik Antonious and Greg Merson have also been recruited to share their skills. In praise of his friend at the tables, Ivey said of Patrik Antonious, “He’s one of the best no-limit players in the world. I’ve played a lot of poker with him, and especially if he’s the deep stack, he’s a very tough opponent to play against.”
