Independence Day for Betfair Poker will be end October
The previously announced parting of the ways between Betfair Poker and software developer Cryptologic (see earlier Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa reports) will take place by the end of this (October) month according to a statement by Betfair management.
Betfair Poker will be re-launching on a new platform as part of a plan to abandon Cryptologic poker software in favour of an upgraded version of Pokerchamps proprietary software. Betfair bought Pokerchamps for this purpose a year ago.
The migration of customers will combine the player base of Betfair Poker with PokerChamps on a new and improved version of the downloadable software of the latter. PokerChamps and Betfair Poker will remain separate brands.
Betfair Poker players will keep their existing account credentials, continue their brand association, and experience an improved user interface. The updated poker software maintains the identity of Betfair Poker but incorporates new features such as a selection of video content, player profiles, player search and map, VIP club, and cash games for any bankroll.
