ALDERNEY NOW BOASTS 25 LICENSEES
Alderney Gaming Commission approves more online gambling operations
Alderney's tough Gambling Control Commission has granted six full online gambling licences in the past two months, taking the total number up to 25.
The four new licences issued in October include Asia Pacific Gaming and Wagerworks.
Robin Le Prevost, head of e-commerce development, said that he was positive about the future: "As companies withdraw from the US we are optimistic about the future. We have the whole package to offer and we feel we can compete well with other jurisdictions."
Corporate governance was emphasised by Le Prevost as essential for attracting new business.
He said: "Our technical infrastructure is we feel, the best you can get, and our taxation rules are very attractive."
Last month the commission issued licences to subsidiaries of William Hill and Sportingbet.
