FUTUREBET COMMENTS ON DEPARTURE FROM ONGAME

New US legal situation complicated relationship

Ron Katz, director of business development at Futurebet, has responded to an InfoPowa request for comment on reports (see earlier Online-Casinos.com/InfoPowa bulletins) that Futurebet poker licensees will soon be departing the Ongame poker network.

"Truly Ongame is working with Futurebet through a smooth transition, as Ongame is no longer accepting US bets," Katz said.

"Since Futurebet's licensee players are mostly US based customers, Futurebet has the responsibilities to change Networks to support certain licensees…Truly it was a Futurebet decision to leave the Network, and not Ongames."

Katz went on to rather intriguingly hint that several major providers would be moving to an unidentified new poker network, and that further announcements on this will be made shortly.
