UNIBET REVENUES UP
European sportsbook releases third quarter and nine month numbers
Third quarter and nine month revenues at the European sportsbook company Unibet were looking good this week.
The company released results showing a rise in gross winnings to GBP19.3 million for the three months to September 2006 from GBP11.1 million in the same period in 2005 and GBP55 million for the nine month period, up from GBP27.2 million in 2005.
Profit after tax for the third quarter rose to GBP5.3 million, up from GBP3.4 million in 2005 and to GBP14.8 million for the nine month period, up from GBP8.7 million in 2005.
The number of active customers for the quarter rose to 214 042 from 139 006 in 2005.
A company spokesman said a scheme of arrangement to establish a new holding company in Malta was approved and completed.
