CHANGING NAMES IN MIDSTREAM
Look out for the new NetPlay brand
The UK company Stream Group is about to embark on a corporate identity change this week, re-naming itself NetPlay TV.
The company will focus exclusively on interactive gaming and gambling, and is to sell its options intriguingly described as "telephone psychic services" and mobile banking to enable it to focus on interactive TV, online and mobile gaming to the UK market.
Part of the new business strategy, has involved the acquisition of the satellite gaming channel Vegas 247 Broadcasting for GBP1 million in cash, 7.25 million shares at 5p each and a maximum cash consideration of GBP200 000.
The new direction followed an approach by Martin Higginson, former chief executive and founder of ringtone company Monstermob.
