MAJOR ONLINE CASINO SOFTWARE FIRM RTG TO DEPART USA?
Is online casino software provider Real Time Gaming (RTG) about to cut staff and depart Atlanta, Georgia for Costa Rica?
There is an unsubstantiated report on one online casino gambling portal, allegedly from a disaffected but unidentified source "close to RTG" that the online gambling company is about to close down its US operations and retrench staff prior to a move to Costa Rica. Whilst this is a possibility given the US situation, we have yet to see confirmation. This is the report:

Real Time Gaming to leave US.
According to a source close to the online casino software provider, management at RTG's Atlanta, Georgia based operation called a meeting with staff last week and announced the office would close in the near future. It is understood that most staff from the Atlanta location will not be retained or relocated to their Costa Rica operation.
Real Time Gaming was founded at the very beginning of the egaming phenomenon, and has supplied online casino software since 1988. They could be counted amongst the top online gaming software suppliers and licensers from 2000-2003. But it has not been all plain sailing for the multi-lingual software provider, who count Bodog Casino as their biggest customer. 2004 onwards saw a period of some decline for the company, with several casino licensees going bust and a couple of the more profitable clients moving to other gaming platforms.
It is understood that the controlling interests of Real Time Gaming pursued a sale of the company recently and the company went through at least one due diligence from a prospective buyer who was already in the gaming software business. The sale did not eventuate. [InfoPowa note - this could have been Warren Cloud, who claimed last year to have been about to buy RTG, but was discouraged by the results of his DD]
At time of writing, a visit to Realtimegaming.com shows a one page site with all client list and all company information removed bar the contact address of their Curacao based sales office.
