V.P.L. BACK IN THE USA - SORT OF

Popular online casino and poker room group will restrict membership of US players in states that specifically prohibit online gambling


Players dismayed at the decision by Vegas Partner Lounge group to withdraw from the USA can take heart - apparently after some consideration the blanket ban has now been modified to exclude only those US players who reside in the 11 states that have specifically made online gambling a criminal offence.

The situation is still not completely clear, but it appears that with the exception of Crazy Vegas Casino, the VPL and associated Golden Star groups have found payment solutions for the US and are accepting US action again.

In an announcement to affiliates, Golden Star said this week: "It is with great pleasure we announce that River Nile, Slots Royale, Miami Paradise and Golden Riviera Poker will be opening their doors once again to US players, although not [those] residing in the 11 banned states. We have been aggressively investigating payment options and have found solutions to pay players in the US and have therefore decided to amend our stand on the US market."

Worth noting too is a strong rumour that VPL has taken over the online operations of Aspinalls (previously at Casino Blasters and operated by Golden Palace Casino) and these will be switching to Microgaming software. It is unknown whether this change will include or exclude US play.
