ATE, Ladbrokes and PokerStars all have new execs aboard
It's been a week for new faces at major online gambling operations, it appears, with ATE-Clarion, Ladbrokes and PokerStars all reporting new arrivals to the executive suite.
Clarion ATE appointed Charlotte Skinner as its new Marketing Manager with direct responsibility for the London Shows ATEI, ICE and ICEi. 28-year-old Charlotte, a Business & Marketing graduate and holder of a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, brings experience not only from the event organising industry but has also worked in marketing for high profile organisations including the Royal Automobile Club (RAC), Churchill Insurance and most recently Britain's Ministry of Defence (MoD).
In addition to the London shows she will also be involved in other sectors of Clarion ATE's b2b portfolio including The Betting Show and the revamped AMUSE 2008.
Also in London, major betting group Ladbrokes said on Monday it had appointed Brian Wallace as group finance director to replace Rosemary Thorne who will leave the firm next month to pursue new challenges.
Wallace, formerly deputy chief executive and group finance director of Hilton Group, will rejoin the firm as the group finance director with immediate effect, the company said in a statement.
And over at booming global poker site PokerStars.com, the expert services of Edward Ihre, formerly of Ongame/Safeplay Ltd., have been acquired as PokerStars' new Director of Partners and Affiliates, where he will be tasked with identifying and building new growth opportunities.
"I'm thoroughly looking forward to joining PokerStars.com," said Ihre. "It's an exciting time to be working with such a well regarded and progressive company."
