As we went to press reports were coming in of another major sportsbook-related bust taking place in New York, where a Costa Rican sportsbook tentatively identified as 50Ksports.com (website down now) has operations.
Early and unconfirmed reports (the authorities are due to hold a press conference later today in the city) suggest that two policemen run the local activities, and there are reports of a total of 18 arrests mainly involving "agents" of the sportsbook.
